Description
With the Ichi One Pole, you’ll find out why the teepee is the oldest and most enduring tent design. It combines fast and easy setup, lots of headroom so you can stand up straight inside the tent, and loads of floor space to sleep up to 8 adults. Two full-sized doors, front and back, and ample vents around the peak keep you cool in summer. (Tan available Summer 2025).

Polycotton tents provide a more comfortable camping experience. They breathe to release humidity and insulate to keep in warmth. Polycotton tents are also durable, have a more natural hand feel, and are quiet in the wind. DOD uses polycotton that is 60-70% polyester, 30-40% cotton.
As a mix of synthetic and natural fiber - polycotton possesses the best characteristics of both. Synthetic tents don’t breathe, so they become humid when occupied overnight. And synthetic fabrics tear and melt more easily than natural fabrics. Synthetics have almost no ability to hold warmth. At the other end of the spectrum, all-cotton tents are comfortable, durable, and hold warmth but they are heavy and bulky. They also require treatment to achieve waterproofness. Polycotton tents are comfortable, durable, waterproof, and hold warmth without being heavy and bulky.
Pros
Breathability: Polycotton tents breathe. Humidity, stickiness, condensation forming on the walls and a tent and dripping on you every time the tent moves, all make for a less comfortable camping experience. Polycotton lets the moisture escape so tents don't get humid.

Really Cool/Different
I really like this tent, partly because of how cool/different it looks but also because of the inner mesh. On a nice warm night, we decided to remove the outer tent and when you do, you can see all the stars all around, virtually unobstructed. One thing that's a little annoying is that because it's black, it looks a bit dirty if you camp in a dusty place. Took a while for me to spot clean it.

My kids love it!
I've owned a bunch of large tents for my family but they've all been pretty ugly and hard to set up. The cheap ones lasted only a couple seasons. This one was easy and the footprint is even bigger than it looks in pictures. We also bought the table that goes with it and wraps around the middle pole. My kids loved playing cards around the table while being in the tent and out of range of the mosquitoes!
