DOD Outdoors’ multi-functional super tent, the Kamaboko, is the centerpiece of the perfect base camp. Comfort in camp requires more than just a place to sleep. You also need a place to get out of the sun, out of the rain, away from the bugs, or just get some privacy. The Kamaboko offers all that. A range of accessories sold separately let you customize the tent to exactly meet your needs. The Kamaboko comes with asleeping chamber that attaches to the ribs and can easily be removed when not in use.
Features
Super Tent – pitch smaller tents inside, or use as a bug tent, sun/rain tarp.
Comes with one hanging sleeping chamber that sleeps 5 adults. An additional optional sleeping chamber (sold separately) can be hung on opposite side to double sleeping capacity to 10 adults.
High ceilings and wide span provide lots of unobstructed space.
Goes up fast, packs up small and light.
End doors double as awnings; awning poles not included.
No floor so you can walk in and out without removing shoes or tracking in dirt.
Front, back, and side panels zip up to expose mesh panels for increased airflow.
I love how big it is. There's ample space for sleeping and separately for hanging out. It's easy to set up and take down, and my favorite accessory is the theatre screen. We used it for the first time last trip and the kids loved it. Well worth the cost of both the screen and the cheap battery projector I got at best buy.

Awesome unique tent
As an avid camper, I've used a lot of tents in my day, but this tent takes the (fish) cake:) The ease of setting it up and the spacious design are perfect for my camping needs. I also love the ability to customize the tent with accessories sold separately. I love that other than the inner tent, it doesn't come with a floor, so you have the convenience of being able to walk in and out without removing shoes. The only downside is that it's pretty expensive but it's pretty unique and high quality. Highly recommended!

Love the different chambers.
I love that there are different chambers so you have a living room and a sleeping chamber. I go camping with my brother and his family so I got an extra inner tent and they sleep on one side and we sleep on the other. Pretty awesome.

Love this tent
I've been camping for years, and this tent is by far the best I've ever had. The high ceilings make it feel really spacious and comfortable and I love the option to pitch smaller tents inside or use it as a sun/rain tarp.

Great tent
Who needs a house when you have this tent? I love it! Highly recommend.
I've recently gotten into camping again after many years of not doing it, and I am revamping my gear. I did a lot of research on some of the best camp tables, and this kept popping up and IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!
It takes some practice to get used to setting it up, but once you catch on it's easier each time. I obviously had to test it out as soon as I got it, so took it out to our little uncovered fire area and it handled direct heat like a champ. I've cooked with it on an open flame three times now and it's awesome. We've also used it as just a regular camp table and it can handle quite a bit of stuff.
Right out of the box, be prepared to have to tighten the little bolts on the inside of the wooden exterior handles. I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting the carrying bag with it.

Great Tent
This is my second review of the large desert tent. We took it during a summer day on the Guadalupe river in Texas. I was impressed by the function ability and just overall sadness of the structure. It’s a great tent for a small family. it’s easy to set up and most of all. It was a place. I will come back to you on a regular basis. This tent is outstanding.

Fantastic fire pit. Stores small. Bonus as an oven broiler.
This is an amazing little firepit for the cost, weight, and size. Buy it without hesitation.
I haven’t used the grates for grilling yet but it's great for browning the top of cast iron pizza while camping. I start the pizza on the Coleman stove in a cast iron griddle pan then finish it off under the Grill of Secrets.
I’ve built half a dozen fires so far and the mesh screen is holding up just fine. No holes or wear. No evidence of rusting anywhere. I store a thin pair of gardening gloves in the storage bag as the stainless turns black and is dirty to handle.
If I were to provide any feedback to DoD for improvement, it would be very minor. Perhaps there’s an opportunity for accessory products or other sizes. I do wish the storage bag was a bit larger and more robust, perhaps with a washable/wipable liner. I’d like to be able to store the fireproof mat, gloves, and accessories (e.g. grill grate lifter, a metal garden trowel I use for ashes) alongside the fire pit and be able to keep things clean-ish and keep residual soot/ash contained. I do realize there is a balance between space/weight.
Also, commercially available firewood in the US is a bit longer than the space between the wavy side support members. A fire pit a few inches larger would be more convenient in the US. I request shorter, fatter pieces of wood from my local supplier and it works flawlessly.
The fire pit is sturdy enough provided you do not drag the burning firewood around on the mesh. I bought a pair of stainless steel fire tongs for managing the fire to prevent accidentally collapsing the fire pit. The large scissor-like tongs make it easy to grab, lift, and reposition wood without dragging it around.
I’m very happy with this product and look forward to many warm nights of marshmallows and pizza ahead.
