Kama Tarp

The Kama "Cheese" Tarp creates a massive covered area to your campsite or backyard. This tarp is a fantastic standalone addition to any camp and can be used as an extra-large awning when paired with our Kamaboko Tent. The Kama is made of durable Canvo™ fabric which which is stronger than polyester and casts deep, cool shadows, great for summer camping. Canvo, unlike polyester, won't melt if it catches a campfire spark. The square shape with many attachment points allow for versatile setups. (For a limited time, both sizes come with pegs and set of two standard 6 ft poles).

Canvo™ is a mix of cotton and polyester. Compared to polyester, Canvo™ provides a superior camping experience. The material breathes so the tent does not become humid, it’s quieter in the wind, and it’s more durable. Canvo™ is commonly used for tents in Europe and Japan. It is used less commonly in North America due to the cost. In an effort to introduce Canvo™ tents to the North American market, DOD is offering our line of Canvo™ tents at prices competitive to polyester tents.
